The African Women's Orchestra is a collective of talented female musicians from across the continent, dedicated to celebrating the power of music and highlighting the stories of African women. The Orchestra International Women's Day Events have since 2017 brought together the best of traditional and contemporary music from Kenya, the region and beyond.

Are you a passionate female musician looking for a space to connect, collaborate, and create beautiful music? The African Women’s Orchestra (AWO) is calling all talented ladies to join our International Women's Day (IWD) Orchestral Season. Whether you're a vocalist, instrumentalist, or composer, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your craft, explore African musical traditions, and be part of a vibrant community of women who share your passion for music. Rehearsals will take place every Saturday Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, we welcome you to grow with us in a supportive, creative environment. 📅 When: Every Saturday from 4th January 2025 📍 Rehearsal Location: Permanent Presidential Music Commission, along State House Road, Nairobi Who: Female musicians of all levels welcome! She is at the forefront of amplifying conversations and the creation of safe and healthy spaced for African Women to be Seen heard and experienced in their authentic unaltered state.

Keziah Ntwiga

CO-FOUNDER AFRICAN WOMEN'S ORCHESTRA

Keziah Ntwiga, a Violinist, Conductor and Engineer by profession has been Igniting purposeful music in a career that has included leading and supporting various Orchestras in East Africa. She is a Global Leaders Institute Fellow 2023 and is also the convenor of the Young Conductor's Forum
